The strap I received is more of a light earthy taupe with shades of ivory/bone. It is a bit porous and any rubbing or contact with skin, and even my leather storage bag, burnishes it, imparting interesting textural elements to the scales, highlighting the patterns on the leather. I did not have a watch in mind when I bought this. I wanted to see first-hand what premium quality alligator is like in an unusual colour so it was a very pleasant surprise when I put it on my Bausele Gallipoli commemorative. I love the way it complements and brings out the features of the watch without overpowering it.
As always - amazing craftsmanship by the team at Artisan Straps. All of my queries were handled very professionally and I cannot fault the communication, period. It was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had - from asking question after questions, Jayson was able to answer all of it for me.
I'm going through a tough time in my life, yet these watch straps have brightened my day, each time a new one has arrived. I just have one final purchase for now - likely this Novonappa again but in black. That's how much I adore this particular strap!

And the quick release spring bars are a dream - I can go from a casual blue in the morning, to this brown strap for drinks with friends, to my dark navy ostrich strap for dinner. Changing the strap takes two minutes, max. I do not miss traditional spring bars!
