I’m happy with the look and construction of the strap. I was mixed about buying a strap with quick release spring bars as I’ve had issues with them in the past (there’s a weak point on the strap next to the bar release that can easily tear and it has for me before). I’m not sure if it’s the spring bars artisan uses or the watch lugs but I struggled to get the strap off the watch as the ends of the pins are really long. I would release the one side and the bar wouldn’t come out because of the length of the pins and the angle that the strap needed to be at to be removed. This will end up wrecking the watch pin holes or the pins or in my case it stretched the leather around the spring bars release. I don’t know if I can use this strap moving forward on my watch which is why I gave it the rating it got.
This strap met my expectations. That might not sound like a glowing review but it is as the strap was expensive and I’m very happy with it. Time will tell how it wears and patina’s but I like it a lot more than the factory options from Cartier. The buckle was fine but I used a buckle that matches the watch.
