Flap style: Italian Waxy in Grey Brown

This grey leather has natural creases and cracks as a result of its high wax content. This leather develops a beautiful patina over time and will darken as it ages. The Flap Style of this watchstrap is sophisticated and timeless. 

This Grey Waxy Calf Strap is the perfect strap for any vintage-style watch. It is incredibly soft and has a waxy feel to the leather. This leather is called Waxy and it is made by the famous Italian Tannery Badalassi Carlo.

We line all our straps with a water-resistant Zermatt leather (as used by Hermes) and is hand made and hand-stitched in our Sydney workshop using traditional techniques.

All straps are made to order and therefore lengths can be customised to your choosing. Choose between contrast or matching stitching.

For an approximate wrist size guide:
1. Extra small 95/ 65 will fit a 5 inch wrist
2. Small sized band 105/70 will fit a 6 inch wrist
3. Standard size 115/ 75 will fit a 7 inch wrist
4. Large size 125/85 will fit an 8 inch wrist

The sizing is in the format as follows: (LUG WIDTH/BUCKLE WIDTH)

• The lug width refers to the width of the strap at the lugs (where it connects to the watch).
• The buckle width refers to the width of the strap at the buckle or clasp.

For the strap length:

• Short: 105mm/70mm will suit a 145 mm - 167.5 mm wrist size. (5.7 - 6.7 inches)
• Standard: 115mm/75mm will suit a 162.5mm - 182.5mm wrist size. (6.4 - 7.1 inches)
• Long: 125mm/80mm will suit a 182.5 mm - 212.5 mm wrist size. (7.1 - 8.2 inches)

With our leather straps, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with, and submerging the strap in water. While our leathers may have strong water resistance on the surface, water may seep through the core of the strap through the stitching holes causing damage. As a result, we strongly recommend avoiding getting our leather straps wet.

Straps must be returned in unused condition (no bending/creases and the strap holes show no signs that the buckle tongue was inserted).
